EDA PLAY 2.2

The EDA PLAY app provides a structured approach to enhancing children's visual and fine motor skills. With options for varying image setups and task difficulty, it accommodates children with special needs, ensuring an inclusive experience.

Developed in collaboration with low vision specialists and experts in early intervention, this application focuses on interactive engagement. It encourages children to focus on the tablet display while completing various tasks, using both visual and auditory stimuli to bolster eye-hand coordination.

• Four Task Levels and Four Visual Levels: The app allows for customization based on individual capabilities, featuring visual levels represented by different types of illustrations (V1 – V4) and task levels marked from G1 to G4.
• Skills Section: This section tracks the child’s progress within the app, enabling parents and therapists to monitor skill development over time.
• Accidental Closure Prevention: The app includes safeguards against unintentional closing; parental controls are discreetly located in the corners of the game screen, requiring a long press to access.
• White Frame Feature: A customizable white frame can be set to distinctly outline the tablet's interactive work area.
• Spoken Instructions: Each task begins with a clearly articulated instruction delivered in a child's voice, ensuring comprehension.
• Target Audience: Designed for children aged one and older, it offers tasks appropriate for younger users.
• Simulator of Visual Disorders: This feature allows adults to gain insight into the challenges faced by children with visual impairments.

The EDA PLAY app is credited to the non-profit organization EDA cz, z. ú. and the digital studio Sugar And Ketchup. Development received support from the Vodafone Czech Republic Foundation, while updates were facilitated by Dow.
